Biography

John was born about 1791 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Alexander McDonald and Sarah Ryan.

John married Elizabeth unknown about 1814 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of four known children.

In 1820, he and his family lived in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was listed in the census near his father Alexander McDonald.[1]

In 1830, he and his family lived in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was listed in the census near his father Alexander McDonald.[2]

in 1840, he and his family lived in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was listed in the census near his father Alexander McDonald.[3]

On 20 June 1844, John was named as John McDonald in his father Alexander McDonald's will in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He and his siblings or, if deceased, their children received equal parts of the estate two years after their mother's death.[4]

In 1850, he and his family lived in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. His oldest son Jacob was listed in the following household.[5]

He died on 10 September 1853 in Pine Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at the Pine Creek Cemetery in Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
