James Lafayette McDonald, son of Hugh McDonald (1797-1867) & Mary Ann Loggins (1801-1870) was born 19 Jul 1818 GA and died 18 Feb 1864 Rock Island Confederate Prison in Rock, Island IL. He married 1st) 9 Jul 1843 Chattooga Co GA, Lucinda Josephine McDonald (1824-1851).
