In the Presidential election of 1796 Alexander voted as a
Federalist in Frederick Co. MARYLAND. Nov. 9-12 1796
Alexander, his son John and daughter Charity came to Fayette County, PA in 1808 from Frederick County, MD. Later John married Orpha Davidson, a native of Fayette County, and had 8-9 children. John and Alexander were cabinet makers and carpenters. Charity was never married. Alexander, John and Charity were buried in Dunlap Creek Presbyterian Cemetery in Fayette County. When they came to Fayette County, John was already an adult. If Alexander had more children, we don`t have a record of it. We would also like to know what happened to Margaret Norwood McDougle and who her parents were.
