* Note: Sp4. William Eugene "Gene" was a member of Company C, 3rd Armored Rifle Battalion, 144 th Infantry Regiment, 49th Armored Division, Texas Natonal Guard and was called to active duty on 15 Oct 1961 during the Berlin Crisis and stationed at Fort Polk, La. for 1 year.
