Research Notes

FamilySearch lists John Morrison 1779-1806 as her father. He was born in PA and died "about 1806" in Hancock, OH.

There is an unsourced, potentially duplicate FS profile for "Eliza Morrison" (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/G4DY-8QV) married to the same man. This profile gives William Morrison 1762-1821 and Elizabeth (unknown, died 1818) as her parents. William Morrison was born in PA and died in Columbiana, OH. Mother Elizabeth died in Columbiana.

1870 census record needed. They moved from Hancock to Hardin County between 1860 and 1880. Census records should be gone over carefully for this whole family. One thing noted: in 1850 she was labeled as unable to read or write. Her death must have been before 22 Jun 1880 because her husband is recorded as Widowed and living in his daughter's house then when the census was enumerated. Originally the death date on this profile was "Jan 22 1880" but that may have been a misreading of the census record. It might also call into question the idea that they moved to Hardin earlier than 1880.

Daughter Margaret's death record lists "Scotland" as place of mother's birth.
