In 1880 a Patrick McElroy (60, b. Ireland, both parents b. Ireland, works in Iron works) was listed as head of household living on Ashland St. in Phoenixville, PA, with wife Sarah (45, b. Ireland, both parents b. Ireland), daughter Mary J. (21, b. Ireland, dressmaker), son John (20, b. PA, laborer), daughter Catherine (16, b. PA), daughter Sarah (11, b. PA), son Hugh (7,. b. PA), and brother-in-law Michael Boyle (32, b. Ireland, puddler).[1] Is Sarah's maiden name Boyle, thus the sister of Michael, who is living in the household?
