RESEARCH NOTES

The Williamson family has not been researched fully. There are several applications pertaining to James Williamson's service in the Revolutionary War and one particular problem is that the 12th PA Regiment was raised in Northumberland and Northampton Counties, not Cumberland where this Williamson family lived. There are many James Williamson men living in Pennsylvania at this time period so much review is called for.
