Biography

Sarah C. McEwen was the daughter of David F. McEwen and his wife, Julia A. Montgomery McEwen. She was born July 11, 1839 and her father seems to have died a few months later.

Research Trail -

1850 - Living with her grandmother, Martha.

1860 - Living with her mother and Uncle James.

1870 - Living with her mother and Uncle James.

1875 - Sarah inherits the homestead from her Uncle James' Estate.

1880 - Census not found

Her Uncle Hugh Montgomery is appointed guardian of the two girls after their father dies.

It would seem that Sarah never married.

Sarah McEwen died October 1, 1888 and was buried in the Montgomery Family Cemetery.
