DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:

What county was Prospect, MD in? Is it part of Dublin now, and therefore in Harford Co.? Did you find him in a census there? I find one in 1810, 1820 and 1830, but his is too young to be this one, as are his children. Maybe there was a weird transcribed spelling so I didn't find him.
