Jane Elizabeth McFall was born March 22, 1821. "Her parents were Anthony McFall and Eleanor Todd, his wife." Anthony and Eleanor McFall "lived in Georgia where one or more of their children were born. Eleanor Todd was the daughter of Patrick Todd who _________ (where he was a linen weaver), County Antrim, Ireland, about 1780, about the time the McGowans came over...He had other children. He was a devoted Presbyterian, a singer of Psalms. He lived in Laurens County near the Island Ford on the Saluda River. He was a man of prominence in his community, having been a Justice of the Peace. After the death of Anthony and Eleanor Todd McFall, he took thier children and brought them up in his home."[1]
