Biography
Joseph, son of Robert McFarland, was born about 1675 at Tyrone, Co Ulster, Ireland, and died before 7 Apr 1750 when administration of his estate was recorded at Cumberland, Pennsylvania.[1]
He may have had a first wife who was the mother of:
- Margaret - b. c1718; m. James CHAMBERS
At the time of his death, Joseph's wife was Catherine (possibly DEAN); children (unproven; surname McFARLAND):
- William - b. 1731; m. Elizabeth KIRKPATRICK
- James - b. c1732; m. Margaret DOWNING
Reference Notes
If Joseph was born in 1675, he would have been over 55 when sons William and James were born. There is some confusion about the wife or wives of this Joseph. More research needed.
