Jane McFarlane was born on 28 March 1855 at Alexandria, parish of Bonhill, Dunbartonshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Robert McFarlane, a printfield polisher, and his wife Janet Cowan. [1]
On 10 September 1856, Jane, her parents, and six siblings all left Liverpool, England as Bounty Immigrants on the new clipper ship "Sir W F Williams" direct for Hobart Town, Tasmania, Australia. Their arrival at their destination on 2 December 1855 provided some excellent information as listed below [2]

Jane married Giovanni Gaspar "John" Tomamichel in 1884 in Victoria, Australia. [3]
John Tomamichel, Jane's husband of 13 years, passed away in 1897 in Maryborough, Victoria at the age of 61 years. [4]
The following year, Jane Tomamichel wed widower James Keillor in Victoria. [5]
In the 1909 Australian Electoral Rolls for Maryborough, Victoria, James and Jane Keillor were residing at Newtown where James was a farmer. [6]
James Keillor, aged 57 years, passed away at Newtown, Victoria of Heart Failure. They had been married for about 17 years. [7]
By 1926, Jane had moved to Talbot, in Victoria where she excelled at home duties. [8]
She passed away on 21 December 1930 in Maryborough Hospital, Maryborough, Victoria, Australia at the age of 75 years. [9]
Jane Keillor was laid to rest in the Maryborough Cemetery, Maryborough, Victoria. [10]
NOTE: Jane does not appear to have had any children in either marriage.
