Annie was born in 1846 in Scotland. She was the daugher of Andrew McFarlane and Jane Reid.[1]
She came to the United States in 1858. [2]
They settled in Guilford Township. [3]
She married Robert McDonald on Feb 2, 1869 in Illinois. [4][5]
They farmed in Harlem and were part of the Scotch Settlement at Argyle.[6]
She died in 1937. [7]

She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Rockford with her husband but is named on a stone with her brothers and sisters at Guilford Union Cemetery. [8]
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie McDonald, pioneer Scotch resident of Argyle community, who died yesterday at the home of a nephew, Walter McFarland, Spring Creek Road, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the McAllister-Julian funeral home.
The Rev. William H, Fulton will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald was born in Argyllshire, Scotland, June 28, 1846, and had lived in the United States since she was 12 years old. Her husband, Robert McDonald, preceded her in death several years ago.
Surviing are a son, Alex of Standford, Mont. a daughter, Mrs. J.P. Peterson, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Rockford. [9]
