In 1911, Frank was living in Toxteth Park, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.[3]
Francis was a physician and surgeon.[3][4] He served as surgeon on the ship Carpathia, assisting in the rescue of survivors from RMS Titanic in 1912.[5][6][7][8] He was presented a purse of 2000 sovereigns by Titanic survivors, for his aid in their rescue.[9] In the rescue, Frank and his two colleagues checked out over 700 people – Frank took care of the First Class passengers – which meant over 200 people.[5]
Frank married Gladys Maude Cook in 1914 in Wirral, Cheshire, England.[10] Their daughter was:
