Ann was born about 1788. The two census records found for her she indicated Kentucky as her birth place. Kentucky separated from Virginia and became a state in 1792. She was likely a daughter of the Samuel and Martha "Patsey" McGee, known to have settle in Kentucky, as this couple had numerous children marry in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, one being Susannah McGee to Capt. Wm. Hardin. Ann's daughter was named Susannah Hardin Stith.
Ann married with the consent of her father, Samuel McGee, in 1810 to Thomas Stith. John McGee, a probable brother, attested to this consent and signed the bond with Thomas Stith.
She had married to a Barnett and was likely widowed before being enumerated during the 1850 census, residing in the home of her daughter Susannah Hardin (Stith) Walton in Jasper County, Missouri.
