Member of Order of Odd Fellows and has the symbol on his headstone in the cemetery.
Was told he was killed when he was crushed between two rail cars after a trainee of his misinterpreted his hand signals and signaled the train to back up instead of move forward. Ike lived until the train was moved apart and he fell dead. This happened in Oakdale TN rail yards very early morning. This was told to me by a cousins husband several years ago.
