Biography
John was born about 1825.
John McGinnis supposedly immigrated from Ireland to Pennsylvania with his wife, Margaret. No records can be found for birth or death dates. Son, Thomas Jefferson McGinnis, was born in Philadelphia in 1860. Died when T.J. was 6 years old.
He passed away about 1866. [1]
The dates of John's birth and death are in question. Information about his son, Thomas Jefferson McGinnis, had birth dates ranging from 1855-1865, although the headstone reads 1860. Reports indicate T.J. was around 6 years old when John passed away. This complicates finding an exact date of death for John.
