Mary “Margaret” McGowan was born in 1834 in Ireland, and died in 1895 at Dublin, California.[1] Margaret married before 1856, John Donlon, a farmer, born in 1832 at Cashel Parish, County Longford, Ireland. He passed away in 1899 in Dublin, Alameda, California.[2]
“John Donlon left Ireland, arrived in New York, stayed there a number of years, took a ship to the Isthmus of Panama, crossed that by mule, took another ship to California and settled in Dublin.”[2]
