Bridget G McGrath had a daughter born in 16/8/1900 Adelaide SA and was known as Genevieve McGrath. the daughter was placed in care but Bridget spent most of her life riddled with guilt and remorse as she was Catholic and having a child out of wedlock meant excommunication.. Her husband E H Dodd was Genevieves father never acccepted her due to his divorce of his first wife and rules for divorce in that era he had to show that his1st wife had been unfaithful but in fact he had been. Once divorce was granted they waited a year or so and married but never took the child back to their home. she was recognised in her mothers will but family members had striped the house of belongings and very little of her heritage was left.. The town knew but fear is a powerful thing. Genivieve married James John Crossley and lived in Grange and then Glenelg and died 1989 aged 89
