FAMILY'S DOUBLE BEREAVEMENT.
MRS. JANE BUDDEN AND Mr.THOMAS BUDDEN.
Members of the Budden family have suffered a double bereavement in less than a week, by the loss of their mother and father.
On Saturday last Mrs. Jane Budden died in Brentwood Hospital, and yesterday morning her husband, Mr. Thomas Bowden Budden, died at his late residence, 113, Brook Street, at the age of 77 years.
There was a large and representative number of mourners at the funeral of the late Mrs. Jane Budden. The funeral took place on Mother's Day in St. John's Presbyterian cemetery. Owing to the absence of the Rev. W. L. I. Arnold, the Rev. John J. Campbell officiated at the grave side. The pall-bearers were the four sons; Donald, Dalley, Fergie and Jack.
The late Mrs. Budden was born at Muswellbrook 70 years ago. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald McGregor, the former being a stockman on "Edinglassie" for many years.
Deceased is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. E. Truebridge (Muswellbrook), and also one daughter and four sons, Mrs. R. Jackson (Newcastle), Donald, Dalley, Fergie and Jack (Muswellbrook). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. ,br /> The late Mrs. Budden is also survived by two brothers, Messrs Donald (Muswellbrook) and J. McGregor (Gloucester); three step-sisters, Mrs. Col. Stewart, Mrs. Les Smith (Muswellbrook) and Mrs. W. Wallace (Aberdeen), and four step-brothers, Messrs. William (Sydney), Robert (Nowra), Thomas (Manilla), and Richard McGregor (Muswellbrook).

The late Mr. Budden was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Budden, of Grasstree. He had lived in Muswellbrook the whole of his lifetime.
He followed the calling of carpenter for many years until taking up employment with the Coal Co. as hostler, from which position he retired six years ago.
In addition to the sons and daughters referred to above, he leaves two brothers, and a sister, viz., Mr. Victor Budden (Sydney), Mr. Bert Budden (Scone) and Mrs. R. Allen (Sydney).
The funeral took place to the Presbyterian cemetery this afternoon.
