Biography

Catherine McGregor the daughter of Phibs McGregor and Jane Arsdell was born in about 1794 at or about Daravalin/Derryvullan in Fermanagh, Ireland.

Catherine Rutledge and her family immigrated to Australia in 1856 on the Kate from Ireland. Catherine; who would have been about 62 years old at that time could read but didn't seem to be able to write.

George and his wife Catherine McGregor had at least 5 children between 1827 and 1842: Mary Ann, David, Jane, John and Joseph.

Catherine Rutledge passed away in Mount Kembla in southern New South Wales in May 1880. She was buried at the Wollongong Cemetery at the age of 88 years.
