Lucy was born in 1863. She was the daughter of Jason McGregor and Rosella Rood.
In 1870 she was living in the village of Marquette, Marquette, Michigan.[1] He was a railroad conductor. The household included Jason McGregor age 31 born in New York, Rozella McGregor age 25 born in New York, Judd B McGregor age 8 born in Michigan, Mary L McGregor age 7 born in Michigan, Mary McGregor age 5 born in Michigan, Nettie L McGregor age 2 born in Michigan, Mary Dunston age 22 born in England, and Lucindia Gravret age 12 born in Illinois.
Her mother signed her will on 1 May 1877.[2] Her estate was admitted to probate 3 Sep 1877 in Marquette, Michigan.[2] Jason McGregor petitioned the court that his father John T McGregor of Marquette City be appointed guardian for his minor children. On 1 Sep 1877 John F McGregor posted a guardian bond for Judd Burrows McGregor age 16, Lucy May McGregor age 15, Mary Rebecca McGregor age 13 and Nettie Louise McGregor age 9. Papers related to timber owned by Alexander McGregor are included in the accounting for Judd McGregor.
In 1880 she was living in Marquette, Marquette, Michigan.[3] The household included Jason McGregor age 43 born in New York, son Judd McGregor age 18 born in Michigan, daughter May McGregor age 17 born in Michigan, daughter Mary McGregor age 15 born in Michigan, daughter Nettie L McGregor age 12 born in Michigan, and mother Rebecca Mcgregor age 63 born in New York. Jason was widowed and working as a janitor at the school house. Judd was a clerk at the railroad scales.
Lucy May McGregor and William Francis Mitchell were married 17 Jun 1885 in Marquette, Michigan.[4]

In 1940 she was living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.[9] The household included Francis A Bull age 43 born in Wisconsin, his wife Irene Bull age 45 born in Michigan, son William Bull age 11 born in Wisconsin and mother-in-law Lucy May age 74 born in Michigan.
She died in 1943.
She is buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.[10]
