John was born in 1890. He was the son of Donald McGregor and Mary Harris. John lived with his parents and siblings in Assiniboia, Northwest Territories in 1891.[1] They lived in Grenfell South, Assiniboia East, The Territories in 1901.[2]
John married Rosie May Herbert about 1915. They had children. They lived in Brandon, Brandon, Manitoba in 1921[3]
and in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1926.[4] By 1931, they lived in Calgary, Alberta, where John was a grocery store merchant.[5]
