Birth and Upbringing: Peter was born in 1880 and was the son of the late John Sleath McGregor and Ann Munro McGregor. [1] He appears to have had siblings, Sarah, Christina, William, Ann, Margaret and John.
Military Service: Peter McGregor was a volunteer member of the 2nd Bn. Rhodesia Regiment, having attested 7 August 1916; Private Service Number: 1649.
Known Residences: Kenlochbeg, Lismore & Appin, Glencoe & Ballachulish, Argyllshire, Scotland [2]
Demise: Peter McGregor was died of his wounds in German East Africa. His death notice is not informative. [3] He was 37 years old.
Burial: Peter McGregor was buried at Muckairn Parish Church & Cemetery, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. [4] His name appears on a memorial roll at the Dar Es Salaam British And Indian Memorial Tanzania. [5] [1]
