I do not find Annice to be the daughter of William and Mary Shirley.
William is my 5x G Grandfather and our family has extensively researched them.
As far back as we find them, the spelling has been McGuire until William Ditto McGuyer 1832-1907, my 3x G Grandfather, (son of William McGuire 1794-1837) changed the spelling to McGuyer. That spelling came down my line to my G Grandfather.
So we need to be sure Annice/Annis is indeed the daughter of William and Mary Shirley McGuire. William and Mary were Revolutionary POWs in Quebec,Canada with their 2 yr old son Michael. It is said that Michael froze to death as they traveled home.
I just found a marriage license for Annice/Annis McGuire and Isaac Sparks in Kentucky dated Mar 1809.
It is signed by Isaac Sparks and Abner Wiseman. Was she married previously to a McGuire? Is her maiden name Wiseman?
We need to further investigate this.
Mcquire-56 and McGuire-855 appear to represent the same person because: Clearly represents the same person. I believe McGuire is the proper LNAB based on marriage record.
