James William McHale was born on November 30, 1890 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He married Rose Bridget Reilly of Mullaloughy, County Cavan, Ireland. He worked as a teamster on the railroad, registered for the World War II draft in 1942.[1] At the time he registered for the draft, he lived at 720 Mosaic Street in Scranton. He is shown to be 5'7" and 149 pounds, with blue eyes, blond hair, and a ruddy complexion. He is also listed as having a shrapnel wound over his left eye (World War I?) and a scar on his right knee. He passed away in June 1967.[2]
