Henrietta was born in 1755. She is the daughter of Hugh McIlvain and Euphemia McQueen.

According to the Old Parochial Registers for the Parish of Ardclach in Nairnshire, Henrietta was baptised on 6th February 1755. She must therefore have been born on or before that date.
