Biography

Reta McINNES[1] was born at North Croydon on Feb 16th 1903. She attended Miss White’s Private School and won many prizes for her needlework. She married Harrry Beaumont (born 25 Jan 1906 at Broken Hill) and were married on 7 Sept 1932 at the Woodville Methodist Church. They lived in Stockwell (german community) where Harry was a schoolmaster. They had 2 children they divorced on 14th Dec 1945. Reta died, aged 75 years in the Serene Nursing home Kensington SA 25 Nov 1978 and lies with her sister in an unmarked grave in the Hindmarsh Cemetery. She had “Paget’s Disease”.
