Agnes McIntyre was born on 18 August 1800 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Her parents were Donald McIntyre and Agnes McFarlane^[1].

Agnes married Benjamin Butters (1793 - 1852) in 15 December 1820 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire^[2].

Agnes died on 19 May 1876 in Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom aged 75. It should be noted that the death certificate states that her parents were Duncan McIntyre and Agnes McDougall. There are no births for a child with this parents combination. There is a birth with parents aof Malcolm McIntrye and Agnes McDougall or Duncan McIntrye and Agnes McFarlane. It is considered that as her son in law, John Gibson, was the informant as to the death that he wasnt sure on the her mother's maiden name and that it should have been McFarlane. Her cause of death was given as Senile Decay^[13].
