Margaret McIntyre was born in Scotland.

Margaret McIntyre was born about 1789 in Alves, Moray, Scotland, the daughter of John McIntyre and Margaret Clarke.^[1][2]

Margaret McIntyre, daughter of John McIntyre and Margaret Clarke, married Alexander Williamson, son of James Williamson and Katharine Wigton, on 13 December 1810 at Alves, Moray, Scotland.^[2][3] They had six children.

In 1841, Margaret (48) is recorded^[4] at Bronte Place, Forres with her husband Alexander (52) and children May (16), Janet (13), George (11), and James (4).

In 1851, Margaret (50) is recorded^[1] at Trafalgar Place, Forres with her husband Alexander (64) and unmarried children George (20), James (14), and a House Servant. The census records that Margaret is blind.

In 1861, Margaret (65) is recorded^[5] at Trafalgar Cottage, Forres with her husband Alexander (76) and unmarried daughter Elizabeth (50).

Margaret (McIntyre) Williamson passed away in the afternoon of 12 November 1865 at Trafalgar Place, Forres.^[2] She was survived by

• Her husband, Alexander Williamson
• At least one son, George Williamson, who had emigrated to Australia
• Her daughter, Elizabeth - the informant^[2]
