Peter was born about 1842, Coatbridge, Glasgow. Parents being Malcolm McIntyre and Elizabeth Robertson.
1841 This could be the family living in the District of Old Monkland, Glasgow at Sandyhill New Dunyvan. Peter McIntyre age 1 year, father Malcolm McIntyre, age recorded as 35, occupation Labourer, his mother Elizabeth McIntyre age also recorded as 35. Siblings in the household Malcolm McIntyre age 14 occupation Labourer, John McIntyre 12, Duncan McIntyre 10 and James McIntyre age 4. The census has all household members birthplace as Lanarkshire. This is not accurate, James and Peter birthplace Glasgow, Duncans birthplace and everyone else birthplace Balquhidder, Perthshire. [1]
Note: Missing from the household is his older siblings Peter Snr. who died, prior to Peter jnrs. birth in about 1842.
Alexander, Catherine and Eliza are also not in the 1841 census, they were also recorded in his fathers death registration in 1855 as deceased.

Peter McIntyre age about 10 years, recorded as attending School (Scholar), father Malcolm McIntyre age 50, occupation Agricultural Labourer, birthplace Balquhidder, Perth, mother Eliza McIntyre age 48, occupation Housekeeper, birthplace Balquhidder, Perth, Siblings in the household John McIntyre 22 years, occupation Agricultural Labourer, birthplace Balquhidder, Perth and James McIntyre age 13, occupation Errand Boy, he like Peter were both born in Lanarkshire , Glasgow. 1855 Peter McIntyre was about 14 years old when his father Malcolm McIntyre died, due to Consumption. The death registration records his father was buried at the Southern Necropolis Cemetery Glasgow.[3]
Note: Missing from the 1851 household is his brother Malcolm McIntyre, he married in 1856, residence prior to marriage Coburg Place, Glasgow. Duncan McIntyre was the informant of his fathers death, I believe he is living with the Hannah family at 5 Drygate Street, Glasgow... I haven't located any further information on him.....
1861 Residence 75 Drygate Street, Glasgow Inner High. Peter McIntyre age 20, occupation Labourer, mother Elizabeth McIntyre age 59, a widow, birthplace Balquhidder, Perth. Sibling in the household James McIntyre age 22, occupation Labourer. Both boys birthplace Lanarkshire [4]

Children in the household Agnes McIntyre 8 years old, Elizabeth McIntyre 6 , both girls are recorded as attending School (Scholars), Malcolm McIntyre 4 and Catherine McIntyre age 2 years. All the children's birth place Glasgow. [7]

Peter and Mary were married for 48 years and had 10 children, 9 were still living at the time the 1911 census was taken......So far only located 9 out of the 10 children ...
