Ian was born in 1894.
His Mother was an Editor and Ian certainly picked up this trait also being Editor of the NZ Womans Weekly and founder of the NZ Outdoor Magazine in 1930. While he lived in Taihape he was Editor of the Taihape Times Newspaper and wrote a number of books; Tales of Tamati. (CAM was adopted by Ngapuhi, the northern Iwi). Puborama
CAM was founder of the McKay Advertising Company later to become the McKay King Advertising Company where his son-in-law Alister MacLeod was employed as an Accounts Executive.
