Biography

Alexander was born in Ross and Cromarty Scotland about 1858. He was the son of Angus McKay and Jessie McAndie. [1]

Parents, Angus and Jessie, emigrated to Australia on the "Royal Standard" in 1865 with their children.[2]


He died in Perth Western Australia in 1942.[3]

    The death occurred at Perth of Mr. Alexander McKay, in his 84th year. He was well known in the earlier settlement of Mitiamo district, and was the only brother of Mr. Andrew McKay, Pine Grove.
