Mary was born in 1877 in Kilcoan, Islandmagee, County Antrim , Ireland, the daughter of Andrew Mckay and Eliza Barron.[1] She was baptised on 07-Oct-1877 in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church.[2]
In 1907 she married John McKinstry in 1st Islandmagee Presbyterian Church. He was a ferryman from Ballylumford, Islandmagee and she was from Ballytober, Islandmagee. The witnesses were Andrew McKay and Agnes Holmes.[3]
Mary and John were residing in a house 10 in Ballytober (Island Magee, Antrim) during the 1911 Census of Ireland with their first child Gladys. John was recorded as a Farmer.[4][5]
Mary passed away on February 8th, 1954 (age 76), possibly in Islandmagee, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.[6]She is interred in Islandmagee New Cemetery (Plot# B141).[7]
