Biography
Donald was born about 1815 in Bowmore, Islay. Donald was married to Margaret Murdoch. Donald held concession 2, no. 18 East of Hurontario Street in 1837. Archibald McKechnie, likely a close relative held concession 2, no. 16. [1] They still lived in Chinguacousy Township in 1850, for Margaret gave birth to her son Alexander there. [2] By 1871, they farmed lot 5, 10th concession, Erin Township. [3][4][5][6] Donald died 8 Sep 1896 in Erin. [7]
