Biography

Priscilla Leedom McKee was born on 20 Sep 1838 in Newark, New Jersey, United States, daughter of Hockley Cloyd McKee (1810 - 1863) and Elizabeth Ballinger (Atkinson) McKee (1812 - ).

Priscilla married William Arthur Hamill (1836 - 1904). Their children were:

1. Priscilla L. Hamill (~1860 - 1867)
2. William Arthur Hamill Jr (1861 - 1889)
3. Harry Cloyd Hamill (1864 - 1927)
4. Hannah Elizabeth (Hamill) Van Vechten (1871 - 1923)
5. Hockley Thomas Hamill (1873 - 1940)
6. James Norman Hamill (1877 - 1937).

In the 1860 census Priscilla (age 23) was living with husband WIlliam in the 22nd Ward of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.^[1] Their infant daughter Priscilla was their only child at this time.

On 14 July 1904, Priscilla applied for a widow's pension for her husband's military service during the Civil War. ^[2]

Priscilla died in Georgetown, Colorado on 3 Apr. 1910. She was listed as the daughter of Hockley C. and Elizabeth B. McKee in her death notice. ^[3]

She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
