Obituary
Lucille E. Bottom passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Aldersgate Village, Topeka, Kansas.Lucille was born October 30, 1921, in Havensville KS the daughter of Henry and Lizzie McKee. She married the love of her life James E. “Jim” Bottom on March 15, 1942. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2013. They were married for 72 years. Lucille enjoyed a full life growing up on a farm, later moving to Topeka and working at Goodyear, to being the neighborhood beautician while owning her own beauty shop. She and Jim traveled internationally and also with their Coachman Campers Club. Lucille was a member of the IOOF Rebekahs and a friend to everyone. Lucille is survived by her; son, Bob (Melva) Bottom ; granddaughter, Jennifer (Michael) Brock; grandson, Scot Morrissey (Tracy); great-granddaughter, Emily Morrissey; great-grandsons, Shepherd and Silas Brock; great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Morrissey; and great-great-grandson, Riley Morrissey; four step-grandchildren, Patricia, Michele, Jennifer and Gregory; fourteen step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild. Lucille is preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Morrissey and her husband Bill; and two grandsons, Matthew and Ray Morrissey.[1]
