Biography

Joseph McKeel, my 5th Great Grandfather was born in Roxbury,Delaware County,NY.

He married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) and they had five children: Simeon, Phillip, John, Elizabeth and Francis. Elizabeth died sometime after the 1870 census and before the 1880 census.


Joseph was admitted to the Bradford County Alms House on April 19 1881. He died there on March 19 1882. He is buried in the cemetery there.

The Surname McKeel is of Irish origin, the surname first surfaced in the Irish Midlands.
