Marissa married Mike Clavette in Colorado in October 2010. She had her first child Maggie with him in Massachusetts in 2015. They filed for divorce in 2017. Marissa married Kyle McKean in December 2018. Kyle and Marissa have one daughter together. Sophie was born at home in Nova Scotia in February 2020. Marissa and her husband bought a house in the Musquodoboit Valley in March 2020. They moved to the Muskoka region in Ontario in 2023.
