Kade was the son of Salmon or Solomon McKeever and Lydia Archer. He did not marry.

January 13, 1948 - Humboldt Independent - Kade McKeever, 74, passed away at the Moon Convalescent Home in Humboldt Saturday evening, Jan, 10 after an illness which made him bedfast for twelve years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Lindhart Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. C.H. Buckwalter officiating.

McKeever was unmarried, and is survived by only a brother, Ben McKeever of Lynn Grove, Iowa.

January 23, 1948 - Humboldt Republican - Kade McKeever, son of Salmon and Lydia McKeever, was born in Montgomery county, Iowa, 10, 1874. He passed away at Humboldt Jan. 10, 1948, at the age of 73 years and eight months.

He spent the early years of his manhood at Joplin, Mo., working in the lead mines. He came to Linn Grove, Iowa, and farmed for some years with his brother, Ben. He went to Fonda in 1936 and made his home with the Lon Archer. He was stricken with arthritis and for the last six years, has been a patient at the Chestie Moen home in Humboldt, where he passed away.

He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, Ben McKeever of Linn Grove; three nephews, Marise McKeever of Rembrandt, Everett and Jack McKeever of Linn Grove; and four great nieces and two great nephews.

In spite of prolonged pain and suffering, Kade maintained a cheerful spirit and a sincere Christian faith, trusting in his Saviour or his salvation and for eternal life.

Funeral services were held Jan. 3 in the Lindhart Funeral Home Chapel in Humboldt, with Rev. C.R. Buckwhiter officiating. At the services Mrs. Edna Engquist sang and Mrs. Esther Coons was pianist. The pallbearers were his nephews. Contributed.
