Biography

John J McKenna was born in 1908 in Massachusetts, the son of Simon J McKenna and Nora Donovan. In the 1910 census, 2 year old James J is living on Broadway in Saugus with his parents and siblings Caroline M 13, William J 12, and Mary E 5. Also there is Cornelius O'Donovan, a Teamster doing general hauling type work^[1]. In the 1920 census, 12 year old James J is living at 218 Central St in Saugus with his parents and siblings. Caroline, 22, a Waitress, William J 21, doing Auto repair in a garage, and Mary E age 15^[2]

I do not have any additional information on James.

1. There is a James J McKenna with an appropriate age in the 1940 census but I do not know if it is this James or not. ^[3] 2. A James J McKenna died in 1978 in Cambridge but I do not know if this was him or not^[4].
