Biography
Annie was born Annie McKenzie about 1852 in County Cork, Ireland. Annie married Eugene McCarthy in 1874. Annie and Eugene had ten children. Annie died in 1901 aged 49 years.
An entry in the newspaper, [1] under Family Notices as follows: Marriages. McCarthy - McKenzie : On the 13th June at St Patrick's Church, Otago, New Zealand by the Rev. Father Donovan, Eugene, 4th son of Mr. Eugene McCarthy, Cork, Ireland to Annie Hester youngest daughter of the late Mr. Hugh McKenzie of Cloyne, County Cork, Ireland.
