Biography

Annie was born in 1860.^[1] She married Thomas McLennan in 1879.^[2] He passed away ten years later. She married Edward Alfred Andrews in 1891.^[3] She passed away in 1939.^[4][5][6]

Edward Alfred Andrews is buried at Waikraka Cemetary, Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand Plot Area 2 Block W Lot 96A ^[7] Listing his wife in Lot 96B as Annie McKenzie Andrews 1860-14 February 1939.

Notes

Following the unusual name "McClennan" and the reference that Edward Alfred was married to an Annie McKenzie the following records indicate Annie McKenzie had previously married Thomas McLennan.

• Death Notice ^[9] in Wairarapa Daily Times 19 August 1889 " McLennan - At his residence, Kuripuni Street, Masterton, Thomas McLennan aged 38. His end was peace."

• Newspaper report of Memorial Sermon ^[10] indicates that Thomas McLennan was born in Nova Scotia and already had consumption before emigrating to New Zealand and that this disease had been the cause of death

• Will and Probate for Thomas McLennan ^[11] stating he died in Masterton 18 August 1889, leaving widow Annie and at least one child, John Thomas McLennan
