Biography
Given that she was "majeur" at the time of her marriage in 1871, Marie Calixte, the daughter of Joseph McKie and Emilie Lalonde, was born about 1847.[1] The 1901 census cites her date of birth as 6 March 1847.[2]Her death certificate cites her place of birth as Coteau Landing, Québec.[3]
On 21 August 1871, she married Alexander Faubert in the Manitoulin District, Wikwemikong, Ontario. The parish register states that the marriage was between "Alexis Faubert fils majeur de Joachim Faubert et de Felcitie Gendron, d'une part, et de Caliste fille majeur de Joseph McKee et de Emilie Laland d'autre part. Témoins Charles Faubert et Nicolas McKee."[1] Census data shows that the couple had at least 5 children:

Marie died 17 July 1917 at the age of 69 of cirrhosis of the liver. Her death certificate states that she was born in Coteau Landing, Québec, the daughter of Joseph McKie and Emily Lalonde.[3]
