married to Samuel Flemmons Young Cook, mother of Charlie (1893-?), Hattie (1894-1928), Tulsa or Telsie (1894-1979), William Riley (1897-1980). She is the Jane Cook who died on Roan Mountain TN of milk sickness in 1907, who Jane Bald is named after. My Daddy told me the story, the women of the family used to walk across Roan Mountain to sell goods in Tennessee. She apparently drank some bad milk they were carrying as they walked across the mountain, and died on the mountain. Daddy said that by the time the other women got back to Cooktown and told the men what had happened, it snowed on the Roan before they were able to return. She was buried in Hobson Cemetery.
