The biography for Rebecca McKinney is empty. What can you add? My Father’s family of Mckinney, were primarily farmers . Many located near Starke , Fl . I believe the town was called Sampson City , Fl . My Mother’s family ( maiden ) surname , was Bradham . Nawassa Jewel has been a family member that has led to dead end research . We had been told by family myths , this was because she had an alias of Emelia ( spelling ? ) Jane . The reason for the alias they said , was because of Cherokee and possible mixed ancestry -that she felt the need to hide in that day . However , my brother and son , had dna ancestry done , and no indication to verify that story so far . I’m waiting on my own dna ancestry results . Nawassa is supposed to be my great grandmother . I have a family photo that I was told was her . I have no way of knowing if that is fact , due to the family myth situation .
Looking for any insight on my parents family trees. Surnames of McKinney ( paternal ) , and Bradham ( maternal ).
Nawassa is supposed to be the mother of Beadie Ann Elizabeth Driggers ( my two times great gran) . The surname Driggers is on my Mother’s /Father’s side . My Mother’s Father was names Charles Albert Dean Bradham , and Beadie Ann was his Mother .
