Biography

Sam Mcknight was enumerated as son of the head of household at Justice Precinct 4, Cass County, Texas for the April 16, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1901 in Texas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William F Mcknight, wife Louella Mcknight, daughter Annie Mcknight, daughter Amy Mcknight, son Colie Mcknight, daughter Jessie Mcknight, daughter Pauline Mcknight and son Guy Mcknight.[1]

Sam Mcknight was enumerated as son of the head of household at Justice Precinct 4, Cass County, Texas for the January 10, United States Census, 1920. He was noted as born 1901 in Texas and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Wm F Mcknight, wife Ella Mcknight, daughter Annie Mcknight, daughter Jessie Mcknight, daughter Pauline Mcknight and son Guy Mcknight.[2]

On April 1, 1935, Sam Mcknight lived at Bloomburg and Cass Road, Justice Precinct 4, Cass County, Texas.[3]

Sam Mcknight was enumerated as brother of the head of household at Bloomburg and Cass Road, Justice Precinct 4, Cass County, Texas for the April 11, United States Census, 1940. He was noted as born 1901 in Texas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Jessie Compton, daughter Correne Compton, son Billie Compton, daughter Bobbie Compton and daughter Janelle Compton.[3]

Samuel S. Mcknight died December 12, 1946 in Cass County, Texas.[4]

Samuel McKnight is buried at Salem Cemetery in Bloomburg, Cass County, Texas.[5]
