Janet was born in 1841 to Anthony McLellan and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Marshall. She married Alexander Boomer in 1861 and had 3 or more children (see Alexander's profile). She died at age 75 in 1916 and was buried with Alexander at Brookfield Eastside Cemetery.
