Edward Irvin McLellan was born in 1884 in Holmes County, Mississippi. He died in 1964 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, USA.

He was the son of Franklin McLellan born 1855 to William McLellan and wife.

He married Hattie Smith b. Mar. 1, 1887 d. Feb. 7, 1984. They made their home in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi.

Edward Irvin Mclellan Draft Registration in 1917-1918 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, United States shows Hattie Smith McLellan as next of kin and that he is of medium height, medium build, has dark hair, and blue eyes. His occupation is listed as a planter.[1]

1930 Census for Tallahatchie County, Mississippi shows him living in Sumner with his wife and children. These children are listed below on the description if the 1940 Census except for daughter, Grace K who was 19 years old in 1930.[2]

1940 Census shows his residence as Sumner, Beat 5, Tallahatchie, Mississippi, United States.[3] In his household are the following members:
Edward age 58, Hattie S age 53, Arthur Mac age 27, Marion Smith McLellan age 25, and Helen McLellan age 20, all born in Mississippi.


Died the 7th of Feb 1964 in Sumner, Tallahatchie, Mississippi, United States of America and was buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery.[4]
