Biography

William Fletcher McLellan was born on 9 February 1859 in Scipio Township, La Porte, Indiana, United States, son of Andrew McLellan (1836–1910) and Alice Crawford (1831–1915).^[1]

His siblings were:

In the 1870 census William (age 11) was in Scipio Township, LaPorte, Indiana, United States, living with his family. ^[2]

Fletcher (21) married Ellen M Fisher (22) (born in December 1857 in Indiana; daughter of William Henry Fisher and Catherine Jordan) on 26 February 1880 in Laporte, Indiana. ^[3]Their known son was Ralph Edward McLellan (16 November 1882 – 9 June 1938).

A few months later, in June 1880, Fletcher was living with his wife in the same town, adjacent to his father's home, where he was working as a farmer (on his father's farm). ^[4]

In 1900, Fletcher was living in Scipio, La Porte, Indiana. ^[5]
